The exhibition is part of my cultural project dedicated to exploring the architectural universe and the sacred space from an anthropological stance on the symbolic paths of religions. The first of the trilogy dedicated the Christian world, this exhibition documents my journey (2017) from Mount Sinai (Egypt) to Jerusalem (Israel). It focuses on exploring the architecture and the sacred space of the Sacred Places, mentioned in the biblical texts. Much more than a simple journey, the entire experience has been a rite of passage. A night spent at the Holy Sepulchre in The Resurrection Church in Jerusalem, an exploration of the Jericho archaeological site alone, an exploration of what was once Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem, a night spent climbing the Sinai Mountain, the direct contact with the landmarks of the three great religions of humankind – Judaism, Christianity and Islam, the chills and the eagerness, the avalanche of thoughts-questions, the savoury monologues-dialogues, the many contradictions, all of that turned into in a spectacular photo portfolio. The photos presented in the exhibition are an invitation to meditation and dialogue between the great values of humankind: Love, Tolerance, Truth. Through the total exposure times of the photographs of the exhibition From Sinai to Jerusalem I offer you a symbolic “temple” built of Light “bricks”, sharing the profound and revealing experience lived through my return in time there. The opening of the exhibition took place on Monday, June 3, 2019. Along with me, the exhibition was introduced by historian Valer Rus, PhD (director, Museum of Urban Civilization), pianist Horia Mihail, and priest prof. Cristian Muntean, PhD.
